Up a gum tree

Still need to raise more money so put both number plates on Gumtree. S1X AH I really don't want to lose after all the trouble I went to to get it back after it disappeared with the Golf V6 back in 2004 so I have put a price of £7500 on that. T1GRX ought to be worth a fair bit too but if it brings me the chance of getting everything organised for the children and some future peace then that would be good and I reckon the price of £2500 is reasonable.

The trouble with Gumtree seems to be the vast amount of scammers there as I had about seven or eight replies from people wanting me to send the notebook I'd advertised at a modest £120 to flaming Nigeria or similarly unlikely destinations! A quick Google search revealed that most were recognised scammer addresses - I had been wondering about one or two that seemed possibly genuine but none were. Once they started offering silly prices for postage and didn't even seem interested in the product itself it was obvious. I was going to spin them along for a while but can't be bothered so just ignoring them.

Took photos of a few other things I found like some Victorian New Zealand stamps and a couple of old books that would appeal to someone if I could reach them and bring in a bit.

Old LSDA colleagues Shelagh and Kathryn noticed something I'd posted on Facebook and I nearly got into hot water by replying to what I thought were messages when in fact they were comments on my wall! Oops! That was close. Both were very understanding and helpful and nice to make contact with Kathryn again who seems to be having quite a few troubles of her own.
