I sent a message to N to say the kids were OK-ish and she said that if I paid the £300 and continued to do some shopping I could return them Monday. Seems like she might have had a rethink but then I get another saying she is thinking of returning to Sri Lanka so difficult to know quite what is going on.
B not particularly happy about staying here until Monday so I say I'll try taking her this morning and we do that. Also collect some of the things that M had left behind. N is there and B manages to get in and sort of settled without too much problem. I keep well out of the way. Paul is painting K's room which strikes me as really weird in the circumstances. begin to wonder whether this isn't just one massive over-reaction by N again.
Later B says that things are bearable but N has definitely changed and is quite cold towards her. Seems she'll be safe enough, though, and I had given her the money to give to N which keeps my side of the bargain. although I really don't think it's fair to have to pay so much it is relatively cheap as the only alternative would be to try and keep them here which would require lots of money spent on things or move immediately which doesn't look feasible at all.
Rupert had transferred £500 yesterday which was good news and helped cover the £300 but not as helpful as I had hoped. He seemed to think I was asking for a fortune, maybe the 6 month thing I'd thought I might need rather than just a £1000 tranfser in advance of what should be coming anyway over the next 6 months. Oh well - I updated him and made it clear that all I really had hoped for was another £500 (although a bit more would save me looking elsewhere).
K and M doing fine and not fighting so much although M gets really bothered about not winning. Clears up after a while but still frustrating as takes time to deal with it. I also simply get no time to think straight at all. That's a problem.
