Start of a new period in my life. Yet another. Good morning - went to Buckingham and looked around Estate agents and they had quite a few nice properties and very helpful staff. That was encouraging and the deposit needed appears to be about 1½ months' rent or about £1200 which is much less than the 3 or 6 months' worth I had feared! Still haven't got that much but it is more feasible than I'd been thinking.
There were several around the £775 mark that weren't too bad at all - one or two even really attractive. I can't rush into any, though, but it is beginning to make some sense. Looked at some in Towcester too but I think Buckingham makes the most sense as then B and K could get to school either easily by walking or much more cheaply. I need to do a budget but that isn't easy because I know I don't have much and doing the figures when they're likely to depress me isn't easy at all. I've always been like that - happy to plan when there is something to plan with but put it off when there isn't.
All too confusing and so many unknowns so didn't do much more with anything. We had a lovely selection of late lunch stuff from the bakers in Towcester - their cheese and onion rolls are amazing.
