Once I'd eventually got the signs in and looking good I escaped from the wedding scene and took the opportunity to visit Mum in Dodders. New owners of Fish & Chip shop and really good quality offering. Don't normally like the idea of fish and chips midday but they were particularly good and I was hungry having missed breakfast!
Mum had said to get her some bits and pieces but when it came time to settle up she seemed reluctant to part with any cash at all! Although I'd agreed before to get some things for B and K and she'd reimburse me, all I managed to get was the fish and chip money and three shillings for Bryony and 12p for Kirri! She's lost sense of money or is just getting really protective. Mad, and annoying as Rupert & I get it eventually anyway and no way she needs any more than a small bit. So frustrating but never mind.
Not the best of visits but git some good snaps of wildlife there.
Got back and the wedding was in full swing. Had time to change and then the others from the village arrived and we joined the party. It was a bit odd as the main group stayed in the marquee whereas we PPC members stayed around a fire in the paddock! Just like the end of a normal party except everything was much neater and there wasn't much work to do afterwards. Gemma looked really good and both seemed to have had a good day all round.
