Had a nice bundle of messages on Fb and other places for my birthday. Spent most of the day photographing photos from tin that had some running from 1983 to 1991, quite a span of fortune: from Aston Martin on a Woodland St Mary drive and parties in Oxford through several trips to Greece and several female friends to starting over in Highclere with a T reg Audi100 GLS.
Found it all a bit emotionally overpowering at times. You'd have thought I'd be used to it by now. 167 photos in all which I cropped and enhanced as best I could then loaded to a Picasa album. I thought I'd be able to split the album later but looks as though I'll have to find another way or just display the whole lot! Hmmm. Depends who sees them. May be best not to add any captions, dates just yet.
I do need to add the best photos that are already in another album to the collection too. So must find a way to divide the album. Hope I don't have to upload all over again.
Graeme & Maggie invited me across for a barbecue in the evening and actually drank half a bottle of some nice white wine I had had in the fridge for a year. Fell fast asleep and missed whatever I'd wanted to watch on TV. Nice evening, though. Penny brought some heavy and tasty cake and nibbles. Some funny cards made me laugh.
