Just another year!

It's almost exactly a year later. It has been anything but just another year though. I must have either been too tired, busy or whatever to write so the best I can do is write a quick summary of the pretty remarkable period up until I started making notes again.

October
The Principal takes everyone to Whipsnade where we get a whole load of presentations about where the College may or may not be going. We do things like write down what we each commit to doing in the ensuing weeks or months. Basically, he wants to make changes and is asking us what we think. Quite a few of us tell him.

November
Matti's 10th birthday. a very noisy affair at the Swimming Pool in Buckingham.

December
It's a very cold Christmas indeed! Tricky finances.

January
Visit Charlie and he is keen to set up some new courses and possibly compete with CIDBT which seems to be going nowhere now

February
We get told that big changes are afoot at College. Middlesex University is going well and I actually get assigned a few new students for second assessment.

March
I elect for voluntary redundancy as a nice offer is on the table and, quite frankly, life at College is getting unbearable.

April
Start counting the days now. Ofsted inspection deferred.

May
Students completing their projects at Middlesex and pretty busy. Excellent report from Edexcel for my HNC programme management - very complumentary about the resources which, of course, are on my blogs! Had to get Principal to agree that I attend Vivas at University instead of following EV around all day. He has no problem and is interested in what I do at Middlesex.

June
Last minute Ofsted inspection is something we could do without. Fairly light, though, and no-one managing us so paperwork not as bad as it might have been. nevertheless, a good reminder of just how much I want to get away!

Now back to the daily blog again...
